// about
A cloud for personal software.
Ownkube lets you build and deploy any workload: web apps, workers, cron jobs, and Postgres. Push a repo or a container and get a live URL via Ownkube in seconds, no cloud account and no config required. If you ever want your own data boundary or your own bill, run the same app in your own AWS account with no rewrite.
Why we built it
Most early-stage teams face an unfair choice. Hosted platforms are fast to start but get expensive and never run in your own account. Rolling your own on raw cloud is a six-figure detour into VPCs, IAM, and CI/CD. We wanted a third path: hosted simplicity to ship in seconds, plus a clean move to your own cloud at wholesale rates when you outgrow it, with no rewrite and no platform team.
How we charge
Ownkube Compute runs on a prepaid wallet, usage-based and metered per minute, no card required to start. If you choose to run in your own AWS account instead, the Ownkube platform fee is $5 per vCPU plus $1 per GiB RAM per month, and cloud costs go straight to your AWS account.
Where we are
AWS is supported today for the own-cloud option, with more clouds on the way. Built by a small team that has run platforms inside Series A to Series C startups and lost too many weekends to crashloop mysteries.
