Do I need a plan to start?
No. Pay as you go has no subscription: top up the wallet from $5 and deploy. A plan loads credit each month and unlocks more. In your own AWS account, Starter is free on one instance and you pay AWS directly.
Do credits roll over?
Wallet credit rolls over and never expires. Build-minute allowances reset monthly.
What does an idle app cost?
Very little. CPU bills only for the time the app spends using it, and memory bills on what the app holds. With scale to zero on, an idle web app sleeps and bills no compute until the next request. A reserved box bills its flat rate while it runs, and a sleeping database bills only its storage.
How are build minutes counted?
A build minute is one wall-clock minute of a build, whatever the builder size. Plans include an allowance. Minutes past it, and every minute on Pay as you go, draw the wallet at a small per-minute rate.
Can I cap my monthly spend?
Yes. Set a monthly budget and choose what happens at the cap: you get notified, or your apps pause and keep their data. Email alerts go out at 50%, 80%, and 100%.
Which regions does Ownkube run in?
Mumbai and Germany today, with the same prices in both except for bandwidth. You can ask for more regions. In your own AWS account, you can pick any AWS region.
Can I run the same app in my own cloud?
Yes. Your code, push-to-deploy and the dashboard stay the same, so you don't rewrite the app.
