Terms of service

Ownkube is run by Hacking Laymen Private Limited ("we", "us"). By signing up or using Ownkube you agree to these terms, our Acceptable use policy and our Privacy policy. You must be 18 or older. If you sign up for a company, you agree for that company.

1. Your account

• Keep your sign-in, API keys and CLI tokens safe. You are responsible for what happens with them, including anything a coding agent does with them.
• If you think someone got into your account, email security@ownkube.io right away.
• One account per person when claiming free credit.

2. Your apps and data

What you build and store on Ownkube is yours. We only touch it to run it for you, help when you ask, or deal with abuse or a security problem. We don't sell it or use it to train AI. You are responsible for having the right to use it, and for your own users' privacy. Keep your own copies of anything important.

3. Paying

• Ownkube Compute runs on prepaid credit. Your usage draws it down at the rates on the pricing page.
• Monthly plans renew until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
• Paid credit rolls over and doesn't expire while your account is open. It can't be refunded or swapped for cash, unless the law says otherwise or section 6 applies.
• Free credit from an offer can expire, and we can remove it if it was claimed unfairly.
• Payments go through our payment provider, which adds any tax that applies. Prices are in US dollars.
• We'll tell you at least 30 days before we raise a price.

4. When your credit runs out

Everything on Ownkube Compute pauses and your data is kept. We email you each day. Add credit and it all starts again. If your account stays empty for 7 days, its Compute apps and data are deleted for good. A pause from a spending limit you set never deletes anything.

5. Rules

Follow the Acceptable use policy, and don't try to get around limits, billing or security. If something breaks the rules or puts other people at risk, we can pause it, without warning if the harm is ongoing. We'll tell you why when we can.

Ownkube also acts on its own to keep your apps running: it scales them, puts idle ones to sleep, applies updates and restarts them when needed. Build your apps to handle a restart.

6. Leaving

You can close your account at any time. We can close it if you seriously break these terms, or for any other reason with 30 days' notice, in which case we refund your unused paid credit. After an account closes, we delete its apps and data within 30 days, except records the law makes us keep, like invoices. Apps in your own cloud account keep running there.

7. No guarantees

We work hard to keep Ownkube up, but it comes as is, without promises that it will always work or never lose data. As far as the law allows, the most we owe you for any claim is what you paid us in the 12 months before it, and we aren't responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits. Nothing here takes away rights the law says you can't give up.

8. Changes

If we make a big change to these terms, we'll email you at least 15 days before it applies. If you keep using Ownkube after that, you accept the new terms.

9. Law and contact

These terms follow Indian law, and the courts of India handle disputes. Please email legal@ownkube.io first so we can try to sort it out.

Complaints can also go to our Grievance Officer at privacy@ownkube.io. We reply within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
