Terms of service
Last updated: March 1, 2026
1. Agreement
By using Ownkube ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If acting on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it. The Service includes the website at ownkube.io and platform at app.ownkube.io.
2. The service
Ownkube is a platform that builds, deploys, and manages apps, databases, and workers on Ownkube Compute in seconds, with no cloud account required. It includes builds, managed Postgres, logs, metrics, and a management dashboard. You can optionally run the same workloads in your own AWS account instead, with more clouds on the way.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and notify us of unauthorized access. You must be at least 16 years old. One account per person or entity unless otherwise approved.
4. Cloud account connection
By connecting your cloud account, you:
- Authorize Ownkube to provision, manage, and delete resources within the permissions you grant.
- Accept sole responsibility for all cloud provider costs (compute, storage, networking, data transfer).
- Confirm you have authority to grant access and it does not violate any agreements.
- May disconnect at any time. Your infrastructure keeps running independently.
5. Fees and payment
Starter clusters (one AWS instance) have no Ownkube platform fee. Production platform fees are usage-based: $5/mo per vCPU and $1/mo per GB RAM, billed monthly in arrears.
You pay cloud provider costs directly. We add no markup.
All fees are in USD, exclusive of taxes, and due within 15 days of invoice. Late payments accrue interest at 1.5%/month or the legal maximum, whichever is less.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to violate laws, host illegal content, transmit malware, gain unauthorized access, disrupt the Service, mine cryptocurrency without approval, or reverse engineer the platform.
7. Ownership
The Service and its software are owned by Ownkube. You retain all rights to your code, data, and content. All infrastructure provisioned lives in your cloud account and belongs to you. It persists if you leave.
8. Privacy and analytics
Data collection is governed by our Privacy Policy. Your application data stays in your cloud account. We do not store copies. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager on our website to understand usage patterns.
9. Automated platform features
Automated platform behavior, such as horizontal autoscaling and health-based rollbacks, operates within parameters you configure and can be disabled anytime. You are responsible for reviewing automated actions taken on your infrastructure.
10. Liability and warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS CAPPED AT FEES YOU PAID IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR COSTS ARISING FROM YOUR CLOUD PROVIDER.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Ownkube against claims arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, your content, or infrastructure provisioned in your cloud accounts.
12. Termination
You may cancel anytime. We may suspend access for Terms violations or non-payment. On termination, your infrastructure keeps running, dashboard access ends, and account data is deleted within 30 days. Outstanding fees remain due.
13. General
Governed by Delaware law. Disputes resolved by binding arbitration (AAA rules). These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement. We may update Terms with notice; continued use means acceptance. Unenforceable provisions are severed without affecting the rest.
