Egress

Egress is outbound network traffic: data your app sends out to the internet, such as API responses, file downloads, or requests to third-party services. On Ownkube Compute, egress bills per GB from the first GB at the rate of the region your app runs in: $0.13 per GB in Mumbai and $0.02 per GB in Germany.

Egress is tracked separately from active-CPU billing and working-set memory, since a workload can be CPU-light and memory-light while still moving a lot of data, such as a service that streams files or proxies large responses. It draws from your prepaid wallet like everything else. Inbound traffic and traffic between services in the same region are free; egress only counts data leaving the region.

Egress is usually a small line item for typical request and response web traffic, but it can become the dominant cost for workloads that serve large files, video, or bulk API responses. If your app does heavy outbound transfer, egress is worth watching alongside CPU and memory when estimating your monthly bill, and the region you pick makes a real difference.
