Directus is an open-source data platform. Build collections in its admin studio and every record becomes a row in your own database, exposed over a REST and GraphQL API. This template ships the full recommended production setup: a managed Postgres database and a managed Valkey cache in front of it.

  • Directus web app

    Web app

    The Directus admin studio and API on a public hostname with automatic HTTPS. Generated app secrets are set for you and revealable on the deployment.

  • Managed PostgreSQL database

    Database

    A Postgres 17 database provisioned in the same private network and wired into the app automatically. Its storage persists, so your data survives restarts and redeploys.

  • Managed Valkey cache

    Cache

    A Valkey cache wired in and enabled, so the API cache is shared across replicas and survives restarts. This is the setup Directus recommends for production.

How deploying Directus works

  1. 01

    Click Deploy

    The deploy flow opens on your Ownkube canvas. If you are signed out, you sign in first and land right back in it.

  2. 02

    Pick a region

    Fill in the one field Directus asks for, then choose an Ownkube Compute region.

  3. 03

    Open your app

    The database comes up first, then Directus, already wired together. Open its HTTPS hostname once it is healthy.

It shows as one app on your canvas, and deleting it removes the app and its data together.
