Deploy Forgejo on Ownkube
Forgejo is a community-run, open-source Git service forked from Gitea: repositories, issues, pull requests, and code review. Finish the install page right after deploy, create your admin account, and clone and push over HTTPS. Deploy it with a managed Postgres database and a public hostname with automatic HTTPS.
Runs on Ownkube Compute, no cloud account needed. It bills per minute from your prepaid wallet like any other app. See pricing

Forgejo web app
Web appThe Forgejo server on a public hostname with automatic HTTPS. Repositories live on a persistent volume, and you finish the install page on first visit.
-
Managed PostgreSQL database
DatabaseA Postgres 17 database provisioned in the same private network and wired into the app automatically. Its storage persists, so your data survives restarts and redeploys.
How deploying Forgejo works
- 01
Click Deploy
The deploy flow opens on your Ownkube canvas. If you are signed out, you sign in first and land right back in it.
- 02
Pick a region
Choose an Ownkube Compute region. Forgejo needs nothing else from you.
- 03
Open your app
The database comes up first, then Forgejo, already wired together. Open its HTTPS hostname once it is healthy.
What you get
- Repositories, issues, and pull requests
- Clone and push over HTTPS
- Repositories on a persistent volume
- Public hostname with automatic TLS
What you provide
Nothing. Defaults are set and secrets are generated for you, and you can reveal them on the deployment afterward.
It shows as one app on your canvas, and deleting it removes the app and its data together.
Or ask your coding agent
With Ownkube connected over MCP, your agent can deploy Forgejo for you. It reads what the app needs, runs a dry run, deploys the app with its database in one call, and follows it until it is healthy. It asks before it creates or deletes anything.
