Postgres hosting
Ownkube runs managed PostgreSQL 17 and 18 on flat-priced database boxes. Pick a box and a storage size, and Ownkube provisions it with encryption and connection pooling, keeps it on a private network, and generates the credentials. Backups, standby replicas and public access are switches in settings.
Postgres hosting at a glance
- Database boxes from $4 a month (DB 0.5) to $104 (DB 16), plus $0.25 per GB of storage.
- 7-day point-in-time backups on the Personal and Team plans. Standby replicas on Team.
- Private by default. Linking an app injects DATABASE_URL and the PG variables.
- Storage and box size grow later without recreating the database.
How to host a Postgres app on Ownkube
- 1
Create the database
Choose Database, pick Postgres 17 or 18, a box, a storage size and a region. It is ready in about a minute.
- 2
Link an app
Link it to an app and Ownkube adds DATABASE_URL, PGHOST, PGUSER and the rest as secret variables, then rolls the app out.
- 3
Turn on backups
Switch on automated backups for 7-day point-in-time recovery, and open public access only if you need to connect from outside.
