What happens when your wallet reaches zero

When your Ownkube Compute wallet reaches zero, every service in the account pauses and its data is kept. The owner gets a reminder email each day. Adding credit, from a $5 top-up, or the next monthly plan load resumes everything. If the account stays paused for 7 days, its Compute resources and their data are deleted.

Usage is drawn from the wallet and checked every few hours, so a busy account can dip a little below zero before it pauses. The next top-up or plan load covers that amount.

WhenWhat happens
Balance reaches $0Every resource stops: web apps, workers, scheduled jobs, functions, databases and caches. Data is kept.
Each day while pausedThe account owner gets an email asking to add credit.
You add credit or the monthly plan load arrivesEverything resumes with its data.
7 days still pausedThe account’s Compute resources and their data are permanently deleted.

A spend limit set to Pause everything stops every workload when month-to-date spend reaches your budget, and a budget pause never deletes anything. Set the budget below your usual balance and the pause fires before the wallet runs dry. Spending alerts email the owner at 50%, 80% and 100% of the budget.

Does unused credit expire? No. Unused wallet credit rolls over to the next month and never expires. Promo credit can carry an end date set by its campaign.

Can I get data back after the 7 days? No. Deletion is permanent. If you plan to leave an account unfunded, export your data first, for example with pg_dump over okctl connect.

Is there a free tier that keeps running at zero? No. Ownkube Compute has no free usage. Every resource draws on wallet credit.
